The primary goal is to restore the historic, 100+ year old, twelve-sided colonial structure and convert it into a museum dedicated to the achievements of Indian women, named “Veerangana”.
Transforming the heritage market into India’s first museum dedicated to women achievers, spotlighting contributions in art, science, culture, social sectors, and the independence movement. Restoration of original façade, arches, jharokha-style windows, and entrance archways. The current project aims to restore the heritage character of the main building while converting it into a modern museum. The plan also includes redeveloping the surrounding area, which involves significant infrastructure upgrades and creating a pedestrian-friendly environment.
D.R.BELLARE has been appointed by Abha Narain Lambah Associates (Conservation, Architecture, Design). Challenges were to have flexible Design in MEP services with future expansion, cost optimized Design, Technical Viable solution to fit in given space with below scope.
